Princess of the Day: Crystal Renn

I'm so glad Glamour had the good sense to put plus-size model/body image activist Crystal Renn on the cover. I just wish she didn't have to share it. Read my interview with Crystal at www.viceland.com/int/v17n3/htdocs/crystal-renn-371.php.

  5. This totally offends me. She doesn't look plus-sized. She appears "real-sized!"

  6. anyone would look plus size next to a victoria's secret model.
what's sad is they are supposed to be the "curvy" ones in the industry. haha what a joke.

  7. Be that as it may, what is getting lost here is that Crystal Renn is the first model ever to get MORE successful by gaining weight. She goes out of her way to tell girls NOT to starve themselves. She's awesome. She's the only size 12 model I can think of ever to be on the cover of a national woman's magazine, including all the ones I worked for. That's right, Sassy never did it. Let's celebrate her instead of complaining that she does not look plus size enough.
